as far as I know...you don't. I could be wrong since I don't use it...but it just takes information from in-game and posts that to the GW Estimator website. The actual trading still has to be done in-game (in Kamadan usually)

Argos gw estimator tracks the trade log in kamadan. So if you just spam in kamadan enough, people who look for the item you are selling will see it on argos.
Best use the widely used abbreviations, because that's what's people will be looking for in argos (e.g.: even though it makes no sense at all outside speedclear context "bu" (back up) is a widely used abbreviation for essence of celerity) |

A bit off topic but, does that mean that any chat log from anywhere can be logged? Isn't that a serious security issue?
Advice: never type any personal info in game! |

Yes it can be logged. You need however outside software wich is not allowed (I dunno if argossoft has permission to do what they do, or are just very good at avoiding ban's). And when it comes to private information: always be carefull what you say in public chats. you never know who is listening in.

Where texmod is allowed (though not supported), logging and publishing like argos is doing is not.
The rule (of conduct) that apply here is Quote:
Although Argos-soft are delivering a service that I use often and is a very good one. without explicit permission by Anet they are breaking the rules of conduct. I find it very doubtfully they have permission cause of the commercial intention of the website (advertisement-banners). |

I'm with Relyk on this one. ANet hasn't made a fuss thus far about the Argos chat log and will probably get treated like Texmod if the matter were pushed.
